Monetize Your Online Data

Every day you hear about companies that are leveraging your data to make money. We want to do the same, but we tell you up front and we give you a nice incentive for your participation. Unlike other sites, we aren’t using this data to sell you anything or to show you ads. We use it to provide research and analysis on what people like you do on the internet, which helps create a better online experience for everyone.

How It Works

Installing SavvyConnect sends us information on where you go and what you do on the Internet. We aggregate that data to provide behavioral metrics, such as what TV shows people watch online, where people shop online, what people search for, and other similar insights.

What Do I Get?

Having SavvyConnect installed and active on your computer or mobile devices makes you part of the SavvyConnect panel in the SurveySavvy community. Our clients conduct additional research opportunities with the SavvyConnect panel, offering more paid incentives for qualified participants.

But What About Privacy?

The SavvyConnect applications communicate data to our servers using SSL Encryption. By going ‘Incognito’ or using ‘Private Browsing Mode’ in your browser, SavvyConnect stops collecting data, making it easy to participate yet also stay in control of what you share. Our Privacy Policy provides further details about how we use your data and keep it secure.

Mac OS X

There is a limitation within Mac OS X:

  • Unfortunately, SavvyConnect is currently not compatible with Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite. For more details, please contact our support team.
  • Firefox and Safari are not compatible browsers. This means only Google Chrome will allow you to remain an active user of the SavvyConnect app.
  • Installing Google Chrome will correct inactivity.

If your SavvyConnect device is inactive, it could be due to one of the following reasons:

  • The SavvyConnect Android application installation process was not completed. Please open the SavvyConnect mobile app and confirm your "Connected" status.
  • The VPN connection was not allowed when the device was last powered on. Every time the device is restarted, a prompt will appear asking if you 'trust' the application. This prompt must be confirmed for SavvyConnect to function.

Important note:

Please be sure to follow the uninstall instructions located on the FAQ page shown here. Manually removing the SavvyConnect network certificate prior to uninstalling SavvyConnect may cause connection problems. For more information, please contact the SavvyConnect support team.

iPhone or iPad

Your iOS device may be inactive due to:

  • The SavvyConnect iOS application can become inactive if you have limited access to a Wi-Fi connection, or are using a private Wi-Fi connection with data limitations. Please ensure you are using a strong Wi-Fi connection when browsing the internet on your iOS device. Open the SavvyConnect application to confirm you are shown an "Activated" status.
  • Two SavvyConnect Settings Profiles are required and can be another cause of inactivity if both profiles aren't displayed within Settings.

From your iPhone select Settings - then General - these two profiles should exist:

    SavvyConnect Mobile
    SavvyConnect iOS Dist

If one or more profiles are missing you will need to remove all existing profiles and re-install the SavvyConnect mobile application.
