How easy is it to install/uninstall SavvyConnect, and is it free?

The software is free and easy to install. You will find the download link at the top of this page. For PC/Mac installation please follow the instructions provided after launching the application installer. Instructions for installing on an IOS/Android device can be found here. You can uninstall at any time, with instructions on how found here.

What are the benefits of installing this software?

Participating in SavvyConnect allows you to help shape today's products and tomorrow's features. You will also be eligible for expedited payment requests with a one week turnaround versus the standard 4-12 week processing period.

Can I still take surveys?

Yes, SavvyConnect easily allows you to keep track of the surveys to which you have been invited.

Will I receive more survey invitations or special incentives if I install SavvyConnect?

Yes, occasionally active SavvyConnect members will receive specific engagements and survey opportunities that are for members only.

There are minors in my household using this software. How are they protected?

SurveySavvy follows all of the strict guidelines of the Child Online Protection Act. Protecting all of our members' and non-members' privacy is our top priority but we encourage parents or guardians to supervise minors while surfing the web. Further details can be found in our Privacy Policy.

Minors over the age of 13 are authorized to have a SurveySavvy account.

What are you tracking about me?

We are tracking simple usage statistics about your browsing habits online. You simply browse the internet the way you normally would and we track things like how long you spend on a webpage.

How is my privacy protected?

We take your privacy very seriously. SurveySavvy adheres to a strict privacy policy which can be reviewed here.

What if I want to participate but want to keep some things private?

Our PC/Mac software respects Private Browsing modes. While enabled, no data is collected from the current browsing session. However, please note that extensive use of the private browsing modes may affect your participation status within certain research studies.

To enable Private Browsing in Internet Explorer
Click on 'Tools' (Alt+X), found in the top right corner of the browser (gear icon), hover over 'Safety', and click on InPrivateBrowsing. Alternatively, you can use a shortcut by pressing Ctrl+Shift+P, while the browser is open.

To enable Private Browsing in Google Chrome
Click on 'Tools' found in the top right corner of the browser (button with 3 horizontal lines), and click on 'New incognito window'. Alternatively you can use a shortcut by pressing Ctrl+Shift+N

To enable Private Browsing in Mozilla Firefox
Click on 'Open Menu', which is found in the top right corner of the browser (button with 3 horizontal lines), and select 'New Private Window'. Alternatively, you can use a shortcut by pressing Ctrl+Shift+P, while the browser is open.

On mobile devices, in order to stop data collection, you must temporarily disable the VPN.

To disable the VPN on iOS
Simply use the “Pause VPN” feature in the main menu (available in SavvyConnect v2.7+ only,) to temporally disable the SavvyConnect VPN for one hour.

To disable the VPN on Android
Quit the app via your notification tray. Data collection will then be suspended until the next time you open the app or restart your device.

Will this software slow down my computer/device?

The software was designed to have a minimal impact on the user and should not noticeably affect your computer/device. If it seems like you are experiencing a slowdown related to the SavvyConnect application, please contact and we will investigate the issue.

Can I opt-out at any time?

Absolutely. You can opt-out by uninstalling the software. Click here for instructions on how to uninstall.

Help! I installed SavvyConnect but am receiving a notice stating my SavvyConnect device is inactive or not currently sending data. What's going on?

For PC: if SavvyConnect is already installed and you have been actively browsing the internet using a supported browser, the most likely scenario is that a browser extension is disabled.

For iOS/Android: if SavvyConnect is already installed, there might be an issue with your internet or VPN connection.

Certain apps/websites/functions are not working, what do I do?

To report a bug, please contact In your email please be sure to include the following information:

  1. Operating system
  2. Program being used
  3. A screen shot (if possible)
  4. Any other information that thoroughly describes the issue you are experiencing.

For any mobile app related issues, please also include the full app name and the developer. (Which can be found underneath the app name in the app store.)

If the issue you report helps us identify and solve a problem with the app, we will occasionally offer a small cash incentive, so please be as descriptive as possible.

Why is app usage required and how to I enable it?

App usage data is used to determine what apps are used while SavvyConnect is installed. This information helps SurveySavvy gather a better picture of mobile usage. Enabling app usage is required to earn most monthly incentives.

Enabling App usage data can be done from within the SavvyConnect app. If app usage is disabled a green message will appear on the Status screen of SavvyConnect.

App usage permissions can be found by going to Settings -> Security -> App usage access
